Murray Racing Puts Maverick on Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno Podium

Valcourt, Québec, August 21, 2014 – Can-Am® ATV and side-by-side racers competed at the 2014 Heartland Challenge endurance race, the Vegas To Reno Best In The Desert series and round eight of the New England ATV Motocross series, earning podiums in all three events. “Our team of Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers had a busy-but-successful weekend across the US. The Murrays earned a hard-fought third-place finish in a very difficult Vegas-to-Reno race while our other sibling teams, in the Pratts and Millers, notched big wins in Iowa,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “From endurance racing in Iowa and the Nevada desert to motocross in Maine, our racers again proved Can-Am is an excellent choice for serious competitors.”

DS 450 Pilot Jeffrey Rastrelli Captures Pro-Am National Championship

Valcourt, Québec, August 18, 2014 – Can-Am® DS 450™ racers competed at round nine of the 2014 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series held at Loretta Lynn’s Motocross in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Can-Am racer Josh Creamer earned his first Pro class podium of the season while fellow DS 450 pilot Jeffrey Rastrelli secured the Pro-Am class championship with a victory at the series finale. “We had a good showing at Loretta Lynn’s in Tennessee. We secured the Pro-Am class championship with Jeffrey Rastrelli and earned second overall in the Pro class championship points race with Joel Hetrick,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “The finale was also big for Josh Creamer, as he easily won the second Pro class moto on his way to earning his first Pro class podium finish of the season.”

DS 450 ATV Racers Notch Podiums In Michigan and Massachusetts

Valcourt, Québec, July 29, 2014 – Can-Am® DS 450™ racers recorded numerous podiums competing in both the AMA-sanctioned Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series in Michigan and round six of the New England ATV Motocross series in Massachusetts. Joel Hetrick earned third place in the Pro class at the Red Bud MX National, while fellow Pro Travis Moore earned second in the NEATV-MX series Pro ranks. “We had a decent weekend in both the ATV MX National series and the New England series, earning Pro and Pro-Am podiums,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “Joel Hetrick’s third-place finish at Red Bud gave him the nice points advantage in the race for second place, which will ultimately be decided at the series finale. DS 450 racers Jeffrey Rastrelli and Ronnie Higgerson will be battling for the Pro-Am class title at the finale as well, so our season is definitely ending with some intrigue.”

Valcourt, Québec, July 15, 2014 – Can-Am® DS 450™ racer Jeffrey Rastrelli earned his first career Pro class podium by finishing third at round seven of the 2014 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series held in New York. Rastrelli, also the Pro-Am class winner, and three other Can-Am DS 450 Pros secured four of the top-seven finishing spots in Pro class at Unadilla Motorsports Park in New Berlin, N.Y.

Valcourt, Québec, June 17, 2014 – Can-Am® DS 450™ ATV racers earned three total podiums in Pro-level classes at round five of the 2014 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship Series in Ohio. Joel Hetrick took second in the Pro class, while fellow Can-Am racers Jeffrey Rastrelli and Ronnie Higgerson each made it on the Pro-Am class box at the Built Ford Tough Briarcliff ATV National. “We were pleased with the effort put forth by our DS 450 Pro racers, earning three total podium finishes in the two premier classes at the ATV MX Nationals,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “Joel Hetrick has now moved into a tie for second place in the Pro ranks and Ronnie Higgerson currently leads the Pro-Am class in points after five rounds of racing. Valcourt, Québec, June 10, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick™1000R side-by-side pilot Marc Burnett won Class 19 at the 2014 Tecate SCORE International Baja 500 race held this past weekend in Baja California, Mexico. In Ohio, fellow Maverick racer Kyle Chaney won the XC1 Modified side-by-side class at the Wiseco John Penton Grand National Cross Country race in Ohio. Can-Am ATV racers also had a great weekend sweeping their respective podiums in the GNCC 4x4 Pro class and in the New England ATV Motocross Pro class. “Highlighted by Maverick racer Marc Burnett’s dominating victory in the SCORE Baja 500, we had several Can-Am racers win their class either on an ATV or in a side-by-side. Burnett, Kyle Chaney and our GNCC 4x4 Pros have been outstanding this year” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “With wins in gnarly terrain like Baja, the challenging GNCC series in Ohio and at the Maine NEATV-MX race, our racers, once again, proved – no matter the Can-Am vehicle — our guys will challenge for the win at every event.”

Maverick 1000R Racers Sweep XC1 SxS Podium; Trantham Wins 4x4 Pro Class

Valcourt, Québec, May 27, 2014 – Can-Am® racers earned a podium sweep with the Maverick™ 1000R in the XC1 Modified SxS class and won all four ATV 4x4 classes at round seven of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country series in Masontown, W.Va. Can-Am DS 450™ racers also won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes at the third round of the New England ATV Motocross series in Pennsylvania. “We had an outstanding weekend at the Mountaineer Run GNCC in West Virginia and in the New England series. Valcourt, Québec, May 22, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick 1000R drivers finished first and second in the Open side-by-side class and overall at the 12 Hours of La Tuque endurance race in Quebec, Canada. Maverick pilots also swept the UTV Open class podium this past weekend at round three of the American Woods Racing Championship Series (AWRCS) in Pennsylvania. “It was a great racing weekend for Can-Am and the Maverick 1000R. We posted a 1-2 finish in the extremely difficult 12 Hours of La Tuque with Can-Am X-Team drivers Martin Horik and Yani Desjardins and swept the AWRCS side-by-side class podium. We also had two great performances from our DS 450 racers at La Tuque,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “The Can-Am Maverick continues to prove it’s a great choice for challenging racing conditions that demand the very best from both man and machine.”

Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series held in Mount Morris, Pa. Can-Am DS 450 racers Jeffrey Rastrelli and Ronnie Higgerson also went 1-2 in the Pro-Am class Sunday at the renowned High Point Raceway.“Can-Am DS 450 racers had a solid weekend for us, winning both the Pro and Pro-Am classes at the High Point National,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “I’m thrilled to see Joel Hetrick earn the Pro class win.
