The ATV industry’s most definitive sport 4x4, which has proven itself in GNCC racing and in rugged terrain across the globe, receives increased performance for 2016. Can-Am offers three Renegade ATVs with varying engine displacement levels, all leading their respective classes in horsepower and performance. The highly popular, feature-laden X® xc package is now available with the new 850 and 1000R engines.For 2016, the Rotax® V-Twin 1000R and 850 engines’ output levels were improved by 7 hp to 89 hp and 78 hp, respectively.

The Can-Am Outlander X mr family, the largest and most popular mud lineup in the industry, is now bigger and more powerful. The X mr family includes mud-ready ATVs with four different Rotax® engines choice. The all-new midsize Outlander L X mr 570 offers a new possibility to play in the mud at an affordable price without compromising performance. This new X mr family member joins the returning X mr 650 and both the power-boosted X mr 850 and X mr 1000R for 2016. Like all Can-Am big-bore ATVs, the X mr family now includes a one-year (1,500 km / 932 miles) break-in service maintenance, which reduces ownership costs. All engine packages also include the revised L gear. No matter the conditions, the X mr family of Can-Am Outlander ATVs delivers proven performance for conquering nasty mud with a menacing look.

A year after its impressive debut, the Can-Am Outlander L ATV family returns even stronger for 2016 with updated performance levels, revised one-year break-in maintenance schedule and all-new packages. A new, class-leading 48-hp Rotax® V-Twin provides improved performance for the new Outlander L 570. A new Green and optional Mossy Oak† Break-Up Country Camo† are new color choices for the Outlander L models in 2016. Also joining the family for 2016 are two all-new packages: Outlander L LE 570 and Outlander L Mossy Oak Hunting Edition.Aside from their engines, the Outlander L 570 and Outlander L 450 ATVs share many of the same major components and include one- and two-rider (MAX) platforms with and without electronic power steering.

Can-Am reinforces its performance leadership in the ATV market with three all-new, class-leading Rotax® engines. The Can-Am Outlander family of 4x4 ATVs consists of four different class-leading engine packages, with three new (570, 850 and 1000R) engines and the returning Outlander 650. The new model year also brings new color options, a new lower ratio for the “L” gear and no maintenance for one year (1,500 km / 932 miles) for all members of the family.All four engines are also available in either a one-up chassis or a two-up (MAX) platform. Also, all Outlander ATVs are available at different price points with various feature-laden packages. Those additional packages are comprised of base (650), DPS,™ (all), XT™ (all), XT-P™ (850 / 1000R) and LIMITED (MAX 1000R). Can-Am Outlander ATVs are built around the industry-exclusive chassis, suspension and share many of the same specifications, engineering and components aside from their engine levels, chassis length and features specific to certain packages.

Whether it’s for extreme work or recreation, Can-Am has the most diverse 6x6 and ATV lineup in the industry. All Outlander 6x6 vehicles have an additional set of rear wheels, a 3,000-pound (1,360 kg) WARN† winch, an exclusive Double Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI2™) rear suspension (complete with a quick-release sway bar), extra low L gear for work, a Dual-Level cargo box with modular accessories, the largest towing capacity of any Can-Am ATV and much more. BRP® has followed up the successful launch of the impressive Can-Am Maverick X® ds 1000R TURBO by taking huge strides for the entire Maverick line of side-by-side vehicles for 2016. The new Maverick X ds 1000R TURBO model gets the industry’s most powerful 131-hp Turbocharged 976cc Rotax 1000R V-Twin engine and also recalibrated rear shocks for improved handling and comfort.The 2016 line of Can-Am Maverick 1000R side-by-side vehicles also welcomes four new packages to the family lineup. This includes a new race-inspired Maverick X rs 1000R TURBO, the Maverick 1000R TURBO, the Maverick DPS 1000R and the new Maverick xc DPS™ 1000R, the most affordable 60-in wide Maverick. The complete line of two-rider Maverick side-by-side vehicles now numbers eight, offering models for different types of drivers. All Maverick off-road vehicles also receive the revised 1,500 km / 1000 miles break-in maintenance service schedule.

The Can-Am Commander MAX 1000 side-by-side, with its comfortable, stadium-style seating for four grown adults, offers the most innovative and versatile rec-utility performance in the industry. The Commander MAX platform features a 29.5-inch (75 mm) longer wheelbase (compared to the two-seater) and unmatched comfort for the rear passengers. The MAX platform includes three packages: DPS,™ XT™ and LIMITED. New colors, like Mossy Oak Break-Up Country Camo, a new belt-monitoring mechanism and improved maintenance schedule are the key highlights for 2016.

The 2016 Can-Am Commander side-by-side vehicles have a new reduced break-in maintenance requirement, reducing ownership costs and time. The Commander family also arrives in 2016 with new color offerings and an all-new, specialized Commander Mossy Oak† Hunting Edition 1000 package. The Commander 800R comes in Light Grey for the new model year. Each displacement level is also available in the popular DPS™ (Dynamic Power Steering) and XT™ packages. The Commander 1000 also can be obtained in the sporty XT-P™ and luxurious LIMITED packages.
