Can-Am Renegade Pilot Byran Buckhannon Wins 4X4 Pro Class at Loretta's GNCC

Can-Am Racers Earn Numerous NEATV-MX Podiums

Valcourt, Québec, May 13, 2014 – Can-Am® Renegade® 800R X® xc racer Bryan Buckhannon posted his first 4x4 Pro class win of the season and finished second overall on the 10 a.m. session podium at round six of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country series in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Can-Am racers also competed at round two of the New England ATV Motocross series in New York. “It was a very competitive weekend at Loretta’s, but we were extremely pleased by Bryan Buckhannon’s 4x4 Pro Class win and second overall finish during the morning session,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “The class points race is tight between Buckhannon and current class leader Kevin Trantham. After the six rounds of racing action, it’s exciting that four different Renegade 800R X xc racers having won at least one round.”

Valcourt, Québec, May 1, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R side-by-side race teams Murray Racing, Marc Burnett Motorsports and Desert Toyz posted an impressive 1-2-3 finish in Class 19 over the weekend at the inaugural SCORE International Imperial Valley 250 in Plaster City, Calif. It was the first SCORE series Class 19 sweep for Can-Am. Can-Am Renegade 800R X® xc racer Kevin Trantham won the 4x4 Pro class and took second overall at round five of the AMSOIL AMA Grand National Cross Country series in Indiana. “Our Can-Am Maverick 1000R side-by-side racing teams put in an incredible finish at inaugural running of the SCORE Imperial Valley 250. We couldn’t be more excited for the Class 19 podium sweep earned by Derek and Jason Murray, Marc Burnett and Cory Sappington. All these race teams have been wholly committed in proving the Maverick 1000R is vehicle of choice for extreme desert racing,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “We had another big GNCC weekend, winning three classes and having 4x4 Pro Kevin Trantham expand his class points lead.”

Valcourt, Québec, April 15, 2014 – Can-Am® ATV and side-by-side racers posted wins and podium finishes in the 2014 AMSOIL AMA Grand National Cross Country series in South Carolina, the World Off-Road Championship Series in Nevada, the Texas Off-Road Nationals in Crafton, Texas, and In the New England ATV Motocross Opener in Wallkill, N.Y. The wins included podium sweeps in the NEATV-MX Pro and Pro-Am classes and another 1-2-3 finish in the GNCC 4x4 Pro class. “It was a rewarding weekend, earning big wins and numerous podiums in GNCC, NEATV-MX, TORN and WORCS,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “This successful weekend verifies Can-Am offers a diverse, competitive line of off-road vehicles and has a team of resolute racers piloting them.”

Valcourt, Québec, April 2, 2014 – Can-Am® ATV and side-by-side racers competed in roughly 17 events for more than $22,000 in prizes at the 2014 High Lifter Mud Nationals at Mud Creek Off-Road Park in Jacksonville, Texas. Team Gorilla Powered by Can-Am, Performance Power Sports / Can-Am and S3 Racing / Can-Am and others combined to earn 24 podiums and win seven classes, including both RUV classes, in the Can-Am / BRP Mud Bog and Mudda Cross competitions. “Can-Am mud racers had an exceptional and dominant performance at Mud Nationals. To win both RUV classes Friday and Saturday night with the Can-Am Maverick™ 1000R, which included a podium sweep in the RUV mud bog, was simply outstanding,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “No matter if it was an ATV or side-by-side, our racers proved that Can-Am is the brand of choice for mud riding and racing.”

Valcourt, Québec, March 31, 2014 – Can-Am® Renegade® 800R X® xc racer Rob Smith won the 4x4 Pro class and the overall in the 10 a.m. session at round three of the 2014 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country series in rainy North Carolina. Can-Am 4x4 racers won all four 4x4 morning classes, which included a 1-2-3 sweep in the 4x4 Pro class, and earned nine total 4x4 class podium finishes out of a possible 12. “Can-Am ATV racers had a great weekend at the Steele Creek GNCC, overcoming the elements to win all four 4x4 classes and sweep the morning overall podium,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “The new 4x4 Pro class points race is very tight after three rounds now that Rob Smith notched his first win of the year. We’ve had three different Renegade 800R X xc racers win thus far, and I definitely see this one going down to the wire. Valcourt, Québec, March 24, 2014 – Can-Am® DS 450™ ATV racer Joel Hetrick finished third at the 2014 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship opener in Washington, Ga. Three other Can-Am racers also placed inside the top nine, earning fourth, sixth and ninth against a full gate of Pros at Aonia Pass Motocross Park. Brother Hunter and Cody Miller each won one Pro class event at the second round of the Texas Off-Road Nationals.

Valcourt, Québec, March 18, 2014 – Can-Am® Renegade® 800R X® xc racer Jordan Phillips won the 4x4 Pro class and took third overall in the 10 a.m. session at round two of the 2014 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country series in Georgia. Can-Am 4x4 racers won all four 4x4 morning classes and earned nine total 4x4 class podium finishes out of a possible 12. Marc Burnett and Tim Farr each earned a second-place finishes with their Can-Am Maverick™ 1000R X rs side-by-side vehicles in the Best In the Desert Mint 400 race and GNCC XC 1 Modified class, respectively. “The Can-Am racing team had a great showing at GNCC round two in Georgia and at the BITD Mint 400. Jordan Phillips’ 4x4 Pro class and overall morning podium finish were big,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “Our racers continue to make great strides with the Can-Am Maverick 1000R platform, putting it on the podium in several different series. Can-Am 4x4 racers won a total of two morning classes and earned eight total 4x4 class podium finishes out of a possible 12 at the opening round of the national cross-country series.
