Valcourt, Québec, June 25, 2013 – Can-Am® ATV and side-by-side racers earned class victories and numerous podium finishes this past weekend in both the inaugural 2013 High Lifter Quadna Mud Nationals and the 2013 PURE desert racing series. Can-Am mud racers won four classes and garnered 13 total podium spots in the EPI Mud Bog at Quadna Mountain Park in Hill City, Minn. Can-Am Commander™ 1000 X® racer Aaron Juarez won the Pro Production 1000 class at round two of the new DWT PURE Side-By-Side Off-Road Championship series in California City, Calif.

Valcourt, Québec, June 11, 2013 – Can-Am® DS 450™ ATV racers fought through muddy conditions and a tight course to earn three class podium finishes at round six of the 2013 AMA Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series in Virginia. In the ATV Pro class, BCS Performance / Can-Am racer Josh Creamer and Jeff Rastrelli finished sixth and seventh overall, respectively.“Round six of the AMA ATV motocross series in Virginia, was another rain-soaked event with a very tight track. The key was grabbing the holeshot and, unfortunately our racers didn’t get the best of starts at this round. Can-Am DS 450 Pro Josh Creamer and his team unfortunately missed the set-up in moto one, but overcame two mid-pack starts to capture sixth place overall,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “Fellow Can-Am Pro racer Jeffrey Rastrelli had his best Pro career finish, posting 7-8 moto finishes for seventh overall.”

Valcourt, Québec, June 6, 2013 – Can-Am X-Team member and Maverick 1000R X rs driver Cory Sappington (Desert Toyz) finished second in the UTV division at the SCORE Baja 500 in Ensenada, Mexico. A total of three Can-Am Maverick race teams competed in the 40th annual running of the desert endurance race on the Baja Peninsula. “Our Can-Am Maverick 1000R X rs racing teams had a successful Baja 500, despite only one making it to the finish line. Desert Toyz’s Cory Sappington’s second place podium finish was impressive considering the gnarly race conditions,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. ”Our other two racing teams each held the class race lead at one point during the race before falling victim to Baja’s conditions and meticulous setup requirements. We see Sappington’s podium finish as a big stepping stone for the new Maverick's success in a very demanding race environment and we look to carry this momentum over to future desert racing events this season.”

Valcourt, Québec, June 5, 2013 – The Wiseco John Penton Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) event featured both ATV and side-by-side vehicle racing and was held Saturday, June 1 in Millfield, Ohio. Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R X® rs pilot Kyle Chaney won the UTV XC1 Modified class in the third round of the six-race SxS series. Can-Am X-Team racer Michael Swift finished third on the UTV XC2 Limited class podium with his Team UXC Racing-backed Can-Am Maverick 1000R X rs. During round seven of the ATV portion of the series, Can-Am 4x4 racers won five morning classes, led by U2 class winner Rob Smith, who also earned second overall on the morning podium with his Renegade® 800R X xc.

Valcourt, Québec, May 8, 2013 – Can-Am® ATV and side-by-side racers won numerous classes and earned several podium finishes at various off-road events in the U.S. and Canada. Highlighted by Team UXC Racing / Can-Am X-Team racer Michael Swift’s morning overall and U2 class win, Can-Am 4x4 ATV racers won five morning classes at a soggy round five of the 2013 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country held in Kentucky. Team Hendershot Performance won the Pro SxS race at round three of the American Woods Racing Championship Series in Pennsylvania. Maverick™ 1000R side-by-side team Murray Motorsports finished third in the SxS Pro class at the Best In The Desert Silver State 300 in Nevada. In the Courses VTT series in Canada, a Maverick pilot earned a podium position while three Can-Am DS 450™ racers swept the ATV Pro class.

Valcourt, Québec, May 1, 2013 – Can-Am® ATV Pro racer Travis Moore swept both the Pro and Pro-Am class on his Can-Am DS 450 ATV at round two of the 2013 Maxxis New England ATV Motocross series in New York. Hunter Miller took his DS 450 to the Pro class win at round three of the Texas Off-Road Nationals in Texas. At round three 2013 Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series, sanctioned by the AMA, in Kentucky, BCS Performance / Can-Am Pro Josh Creamer finished fourth in the Pro class on his DS 450.“Can-Am Pro Travis Moore continued his roll in the Northeast aboard his Can-Am DS 450 ATV, by again winning all four Pro-level motos to earn himself another big double win weekend in the NEATV series,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “It was a challenging weekend on the AMA ATV MX National circuit as rain soaked the Ballance Moto X race facility, making for very sloppy racing conditions for the riders. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series, sanctioned by the AMA, held at Muddy Creek in Blountville, Tenn. BCS Performance / Can-Am Pro Josh Creamer finished fourth in the Pro class. At the New England ATV Motocross (NEATV-MX) series opener in Wallkill, N.Y., Can-Am DS 450™ racer Travis Moore won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes. “Overall, it was good weekend for Can-Am ATV racers at Muddy Creek in Tennessee. Although Josh Creamer just missed the Pro class podium, we had three riders in the top 10 in both the Pro and Pro-Am classes. We also had three amateur racers win their respective classes on the DS 450,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “I am proud of the way Travis Moore raced in his Can-Am DS 450 debut in the NEATV series. It’s never easy to win two Pro-level classes and he did just that.”

Valcourt, Québec, April 10, 2013 – Can-Am® 4x4 ATV racers earned seven of the top 12 overall morning finishes, won a total of five classes and earned all 15 possible class podium positions at round three of the 2013 Amsoil Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) in Morganton, N.C. JB Racing / Can-Am DS 450™ Pro Jarrod McClure earned fifth in the XC1 ATV Pro class. At round two of the Texas Off-Road Nationals (TORN) in Paradise, Texas, Louis Powersports / Can-Am racer Cody Miller won the Pro ATV class and his teammate and Maverick™ 1000R X® rs pilot Hunter Miller took second in the UTV Expert class.“Our Can-Am ATV racers had a great Saturday at the Steele Creek GNCC in North Carolina, winning all five 4x4 classes and, once again, sweeping the morning 4x4 podium. Michael Swift notched his first U2 class win aboard the Renegade® 800R X xc while defending 4x4 Open class champion Bryan Buckhannon remained undefeated in 2013,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am.

Valcourt, Québec, April 1, 2013 – Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R side-by-side vehicle driver James Hill finished second in the SxS Pro Production class at round three of the World Off-Road Championship Series (WORCS) in Arizona. Brothers Derek and Jason Murray also earned a podium finish with their Maverick 1000R X® rs, racing to a third-place finish in the Best In The Desert (BITD) Mint 400 outside of Las Vegas. At the 2013 Mtn. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Nationals opening round in Georgia, BCS Performance / Can-Am pro Josh Creamer finished second in the Pro class aboard his DS 450™.      “I was thrilled that Can-Am racers earned hard-fought podium finishes in three different series, and in very difficult conditions,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “James Hill overcame a challenging WORCS course to earn his second podium behind the wheel of the Maverick. The Murray Motorsports team had a spectacular podium finish at the Mint 400 and narrowly missing second-place by only two seconds. Josh Creamer — despite a first-turn crash in the first moto and very wet, muddy conditions — won a Pro class moto and notched an impressive second-place finish overall at round one of the AMA ATV MX series.”
