Valcourt, Québec, July 5, 2012 – Motoworks / Can-Am® DS 450™ racer Joel Hetrick finished second at round seven of the AMA ATV Motocross Championship Series, while teammate and defending champion John Natalie finished fourth. In the New England ATV Motocross Series (NEATV-MX), BCS Performance / Can-Am racer Josh Creamer won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes at round six.“Our Can-Am racers battled the heat and elements to bring home some impressive top finishes at the AMA ATV MX Nationals and at the NEATV MX regional series,” said Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “Joel Hetrick was clearly a top performer all weekend in Ohio, as he was the fastest qualifier, won moto one, earned second in moto two and took second overall in the Pro class. I was proud of the way he battled back from a poor start in the second moto to finish second overall. Defending Pro class champion John Natalie had a difficult time adapting to the track at round seven, but still sits in second in the points race with three rounds remaining. Josh Creamer continued his dominance in the NEATV series, convincingly winning all four motos he entered. We’re excited to have him join John and Joel in Unadilla for round eight of the AMA ATV MX series.”

It’s the little details that can make or break any project.  Ben Darbone of Scott, Louisiana is one rider who won’t let anything slip by.  As a safety inspector for a fire safety company, it’s his job to notice all the little things, but Ben doesn’t just turn off those skills when the day’s work is done.  Some people just can’t help bringing their work home with them.

Can-Am's Limited Edition Models Deliver Off-Road Luxury

CAN-AM is a company on the move.  Last year they introduced an all-new chassis in their top of the line ATVs and this year we expect the second generation chassis to make it on almost every other Renegade and Outlander model in the lineup as well.  Their special edition models come with over-the-top features that make them the luxury vehicles of the off-road world, but they’re much more than just a pretty face.  The first mandate for any Can-Am ATV or Side x Side is that it must perform and these are the models that really put them over the top.

Valcourt, Québec, April 3, 2012 – Can-Am® X-Team racers earned five 4x4 class overall wins this past weekend at the Steele Creek Can-Am / Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series event and also posted three class victories in the Texhoma Quad Racing Association (TQRA) series. In the GNCC series, Kevin Trantham led the way, winning the 4x4 Lites class and finishing third overall on the morning podium aboard his 2012 Can-Am Outlander™ 500. Cody and Hunter Miller each piloted a Can-Am vehicle to victories at round two of the TQRA motocross series held in Geary, Okla.“The Steele Creek GNCC was a brutal, challenging course, but our 4x4 class racers truly performed well aboard their Can-Am ATVs,” stated Jimmie O’Dell, Race Manager, Can-Am. “Michael Swift and Bryan Buckhannon are so evenly matched aboard their 2012 Outlander 800s, they really put on a show racing wheel-to-wheel with each other the entire two-hour race. I was glad to see Swift finally get his first win of 2012, but I'm sure the two riders will have another battle at the next race in South Carolina. Kevin Trantham put in one of his most impressive performances ever aboard his Outlander 500, by winning his class and earning a spot on the morning overall podium. In TQRA, I was pleased to see both Cody and Hunter Miller post some hard-fought victories over the weekend with both their Can-Am ATVs and side-by-side machines.”

Best Crossover Class Side-x-Side of 2011

The Can-Am Commander 1000XT

When the CAN-AM Commander was released, it offered a level of performance, refinement, and handling that set a new standard for Side x Side excellence. That has not changed, but the Commander is also a “crossover model” because it has the ability to perform work tasks extremely well thanks to a rear dump box and a sturdy hitch. All five Commander models share a common chassis with dual A-arms at the front and CAN-AM’s TTI trailing arms in the rear, the difference being how each model is outfitted. Engine choices are an 800cc or 1000cc liquid cooled, SOHC Rotax V-Twin EFI engine.
