We wondered when Polaris would build this model.  After all, there has scarcely been a day in Polaris history when there has not been a Scrambler ATV in the lineup.  Through the years the Scrambler had become synonymous with a sporty ride wrapped in a 4-wheel drive, do-it-all package, yet the existing Scrambler models were based on previous generation chassis and engine packages.  While the Polaris utility ATV lineup had evolved with ever more powerful engines and advanced, better riding chassis’ the poor Scrambler 500 had seemingly fallen from favor.

As fellow test rider and editor Pete Bengel and I cruised across the Glamis dunes in Polaris’ new  Jagged X Edition RZR XP 900, all I could think was, “This vehicle makes me laugh.”  It’s not that the Jagged X RZR is crude, underpowered, or incapable; far from it.  What had me laughing in my helmet was that it is ridiculously fun!

Minneapolis, June 4, 2013 – After Jagged X/Polaris Driver Matt Parks won the opening round of the 2013 SCORE Baja championship, at the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, he knew he would need to share the driving duties for the second round, the 45th Tecate SCORE Baja 500.  Parks enlisted teammate Brandon Schueler, who races in the Best In The Desert series, to not only drive, but to start the race. The strategy would pay off with the Jagged X Team winning their second straight SCORE race.“Schueler has more UTV racing experience that anyone out there and I knew he would do a great job in Baja,” Parks said.
