Minneapolis, January 12, 2011 – To open the first Best in the Desert race of 2011, the Parker 250, Jagged X chose to run their champion-winning former project X rock crawler to ring in the new race year. The No. 1919 did what it does best, win!Jagged X had to overcome a poor starting draw of 12th and 15 other side-by-sides to take the checkered flag. The local rains kept the dust to a minimum and gave Brandon Schueler and co-driver Mike West the ability to pick off competitors one-by-one and finish first.“We are very pleased to begin the year with a win,” said Bill Schueler of Jagged X. “This season should prove to be a very exciting one and we are excited to debut our new car in April.”

To ring in the New Year, the RANGER RZR family welcomes a whole new class of Side x Side, introducing the RANGER RZR XP 900!The RANGER RZR has the only family of Sport Side x Sides with Razor Sharp Performance for all types of recreation. It all started in 2008 when Polaris introduced the only trail-capable Side x Side, the RANGER RZR 800. In 2009, came the only true-sport Side x Side, the RANGER RZR S 800. With the introduction of the RANGER RZR 4 800 in 2010, Polaris introduced the world’s only four-seat sport Side-by-Side. For 2011, the family adds the RANGER RZR XP 900, a whole new class of Side x Side that continues to offer the ultimate combination of power, suspension and agility and takes it to the extreme.

Best Work and Recreation Class Side-x-Side - The 2011 Polaris Ranger XP 800

Early Side x Sides were built strictly for utility use, with all the handling characteristics of a tractor. That caught the attention of Polaris which quietly went into action. With an engineering staff loaded full of Northern Minnesota hunters, it’s no wonder the Rangers are at home in the woods; they should practically be issued a hunting license. Imagine your best dog, best shotgun, best pickup, and best hunting camp all rolled into one, and you’ve got the Polaris Ranger XP 800.

Best Open Class Utility ATV - The 2011 Polaris Sportsman XP 850

When it was introduced 2 years ago, the Polaris Sportsman XP 850 set a new standard for big bore utility ATVs that has yet to be matched. In our experience logging over a thousand odd trail miles, reliability has been perfect, and it has never let us down. The engine runs smooth, quiet, and crisp thanks to electronic fuel injection. We’re especially happy to report maintenance tasks are a breeze due to a spin off oil filter, a cartridge type air filter, and a handy, easy access dipstick (Take note Suzuki).

Best Big Bore Sport ATV - The 2010 Polaris 525 S

No other big bore sport ATV can match the power to weight ratio of the Polaris 525S. Torque from the KTM motor is outstanding and the ability to raise the front wheels at any time makes it an absolute blast to ride. We’ve raced the 525S in the woods and on the motocross track; with its lighter weight and more aggressive stance, it easily out handles other big bore sport ATVs. We really like the stock Maxxis tires which hold up well and get good traction on soft loam, but in the sand they also steer very well because of the front center rib.
