Jagged X Wins Best in the Desert’s Parker 250

UXC Racing’s Scrambler XP 1000 debut brings second place finish

Minneapolis, Jan. 15, 2014– Polaris RZRs kicked off the Best in the Desert race season with a win at the THR Parker 250, in Parker, Ariz. 2013 Best in the Desert UTV Champions, Jagged X and the No. 1919 RZR XP 4 900, with Jagged X’s Brandon Schueler and Blake Van de Loo would take the checkered flag, and Coastal Racing’s No. 1934, with Scott Kiger and Mark Holz, taking second. The inaugural race of the year for BITD saw the largest UTV entry yet with 33 side-by-sides entered. Schueler and Van de Loo would start in thirteenth position. Thanks to some great driving and a trouble-free day, they were able to work their way to the front and pass the No. 1934 Coastal car for the win.

Xtremeplus Polaris Team ready to launch the Dakar 2014

The road to get to (Province of Santa Fe in Argentina) is long, but it is even longer to arrive to the finish line of the world´s toughest race: 9209 km, of which 5212 will be timed specials.  The Xtreme Plus Team arrived to Buenos Aires last December 31 to take their vehicles at the port, and drive them to Rosario to put the finishing touches before the race. Minneapolis, January 2, 2014 –Polaris comes into the 2014 off-road race season with teams competing in the Grand National Cross Country series (GNCC), World Off-Road Championship series (WORCS), Best in the Desert (BITD), SCORE International, Lucas Off-Road Regional Racing Series (LORRS), King of the Hammers (KOH) and Mud racing. The company has expanded its race team once again for 2014 both in RZR racing and with the addition of two GNCC ATV Racers racing the Scrambler XP 850 H.O. EPS. Polaris will continue continue to offer their ATV and Side-by-Side contingency, and has added a reimbursement program on select models.

Minneapolis, Nov. 22, 2013 – Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII) today announced the company is donating two RANGER 800 full-size, side-by-side vehicles, equipped with TerrainArmor™ Non-Pneumatic Tires (NPT), to help with the tornado disaster relief effort in Washington, Illinois. The units will be donated to Team Rubicon, a non-profit disaster relief organization that unites the skills of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams worldwide.“Off-Road Vehicles are a great ally in disaster relief due to their ability to traverse the difficult terrain usually found in these situations,” said David Longren, vice president of Polaris’ Off-Road Division. “Our thoughts go out to the people of Washington, IL and we hope the vehicles serve them well.” 

Coastal Racing Takes Baja 1000

Jagged X takes second and wins first-ever UTV Pro Class SCORE Championship

Minneapolis, Nov. 20, 2013-The Baja 1000 is a true test of a machine and driver and Polaris sent three race teams to the line to conquer the epic race.  It would be a true test of the RZRs ability and durability, and, in the end, Coastal Racing, Jagged X and Cognito Racing would be three of the five in the UTV Pro Class to finish the grueling race. Coastal Racing would take on their first-ever Baja 1000 with drivers Scott Kiger, Mark Holz and RJ Anderson; and co-drivers Rob Utendorfer, Tyler King and Brian McLean. The Coastal Racing No. 1932 RZR would be the first in the UTV Pro Class to cross the finish line. The race would take Coastal Racing 27 hours and almost 17 minutes to complete.
