Valcourt, Québec, June 10, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick™1000R side-by-side pilot Marc Burnett won Class 19 at the 2014 Tecate SCORE International Baja 500 race held this past weekend in Baja California, Mexico. In Ohio, fellow Maverick racer Kyle Chaney won the XC1 Modified side-by-side class at the Wiseco John Penton Grand National Cross Country race in Ohio. Can-Am ATV racers also had a great weekend sweeping their respective podiums in the GNCC 4x4 Pro class and in the New England ATV Motocross Pro class. “Highlighted by Maverick racer Marc Burnett’s dominating victory in the SCORE Baja 500, we had several Can-Am racers win their class either on an ATV or in a side-by-side. Burnett, Kyle Chaney and our GNCC 4x4 Pros have been outstanding this year” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “With wins in gnarly terrain like Baja, the challenging GNCC series in Ohio and at the Maine NEATV-MX race, our racers, once again, proved – no matter the Can-Am vehicle — our guys will challenge for the win at every event.”

Valcourt, Québec, May 27, 2014 – Can-Am® racers earned a podium sweep with the Maverick™ 1000R in the XC1 Modified SxS class and won all four ATV 4x4 classes at round seven of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country series in Masontown, W.Va. Can-Am DS 450™ racers also won both the Pro and Pro-Am classes at the third round of the New England ATV Motocross series in Pennsylvania. “We had an outstanding weekend at the Mountaineer Run GNCC in West Virginia and in the New England series. Earning a historic sweep in the XC1 Modified SxS class, winning the 4x4 Pro class and also both Pro-level NEATV-MX classes was perfect,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “During their push toward winning a GNCC championship, our Maverick pilots continue to showcase their merits and those of their Can-Am vehicles.”

Valcourt, Québec, May 22, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick 1000R drivers finished first and second in the Open side-by-side class and overall at the 12 Hours of La Tuque endurance race in Quebec, Canada. Maverick pilots also swept the UTV Open class podium this past weekend at round three of the American Woods Racing Championship Series (AWRCS) in Pennsylvania. “It was a great racing weekend for Can-Am and the Maverick 1000R. We posted a 1-2 finish in the extremely difficult 12 Hours of La Tuque with Can-Am X-Team drivers Martin Horik and Yani Desjardins and swept the AWRCS side-by-side class podium. We also had two great performances from our DS 450 racers at La Tuque,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “The Can-Am Maverick continues to prove it’s a great choice for challenging racing conditions that demand the very best from both man and machine.”

Valcourt, Québec, May 1, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R side-by-side race teams Murray Racing, Marc Burnett Motorsports and Desert Toyz posted an impressive 1-2-3 finish in Class 19 over the weekend at the inaugural SCORE International Imperial Valley 250 in Plaster City, Calif. It was the first SCORE series Class 19 sweep for Can-Am. Can-Am Renegade 800R X® xc racer Kevin Trantham won the 4x4 Pro class and took second overall at round five of the AMSOIL AMA Grand National Cross Country series in Indiana. “Our Can-Am Maverick 1000R side-by-side racing teams put in an incredible finish at inaugural running of the SCORE Imperial Valley 250. We couldn’t be more excited for the Class 19 podium sweep earned by Derek and Jason Murray, Marc Burnett and Cory Sappington. All these race teams have been wholly committed in proving the Maverick 1000R is vehicle of choice for extreme desert racing,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “We had another big GNCC weekend, winning three classes and having 4x4 Pro Kevin Trantham expand his class points lead.”

Valcourt, Québec, March 18, 2014 – Can-Am® Renegade® 800R X® xc racer Jordan Phillips won the 4x4 Pro class and took third overall in the 10 a.m. session at round two of the 2014 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country series in Georgia. Can-Am 4x4 racers won all four 4x4 morning classes and earned nine total 4x4 class podium finishes out of a possible 12. Marc Burnett and Tim Farr each earned a second-place finishes with their Can-Am Maverick™ 1000R X rs side-by-side vehicles in the Best In the Desert Mint 400 race and GNCC XC 1 Modified class, respectively. “The Can-Am racing team had a great showing at GNCC round two in Georgia and at the BITD Mint 400. Jordan Phillips’ 4x4 Pro class and overall morning podium finish were big,” said Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “Our racers continue to make great strides with the Can-Am Maverick 1000R platform, putting it on the podium in several different series. Chandler, AZ March 12, 2014 — Starting with today's procession down Las Vegas Blvd., the pre-race festivities for The Mint 400 are kicking off! It took a couple of round-the-clock sessions and a quick side trip from her Lake Havasu, Arizona, home to the DragonFire HQ in Chandler, but things are finally wrapped up on Lacrecia Beurrier's new Can-Am Pro 1000 Maverick… literally! The graphics gurus at Wolf Designs were able to get the vehicle wrapped the night before it was hauled to Nevada to participate in today's parade of racers down "The Strip."

Valcourt, Québec, March 4, 2014 – Can-Am® Maverick™ 1000R X rs side-by-side Pro Marc Burnett won the San Felipe 250 and Can-Am Maverick MAX racer Derek Murray finished second to give Can-Am a 1-2 finish at the SCORE International opener In Mexico.
