CYPRESS, Calif. – NOVEMBER 15, 2011 – The Court of Appeals of Georgia today unanimously reversed a trial court’s May 2010 decision in favor of plaintiffs and ordered judgment for Yamaha in McTaggart vs Yamaha, a case involving an accident on a Yamaha Rhino. The Court of Appeals’ decision means that courts in all nine cases that have gone to trial have rejected plaintiffs' claims and found in favor of Yamaha.Yamaha stands firmly behind the Rhino and will continue to vigorously defend the product. The Rhino is a safe and useful off-road vehicle when driven responsibly, and has won virtually every “first in class” award and top safety ratings in independent reviews since its introduction.

It’s been a long time since bears roamed freely in Southern California’s San Bernardino forest. The high mountain lake area wasn’t named Big Coyote, Big Deer, or Big Prairie Dog, but it is called Big Bear for a reason, despite a century or so of relatively unmolested camping. Recently, Grizzlies prowled the old domain of the Golden bear, every bit the dominant predator they’ve always been. This bear was not the Grizzly of old that chilled the blood of explorers, miners, settlers, and Native Americans, but this Grizzly was introduced by Yamaha and we had come to tame it.

(WIC) foundation helping raise $9,230 for the charity at the annual Marengo Swamp Run in Hebert, La., on June 4. The annual event, which raises money mainly through entry fees and private donations, helps fund the WIC mission of granting wishes of terminally ill children in Northeast Louisiana.

Determined by random drawing, Yamaha congratulates Natalie Uribe-De Freitas from Santa Clara, Calif., who has won a new 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 450 ATV with Electric Power Steering (EPS) valued at $7,499.NHF Day was formalized by Congress as a public reminder that hunters, anglers and shooters are America’s premier conservation supporters who generate $100,000 every 30 minutes for fish, wildlife and habitat programs. Scheduled annually on the fourth Saturday of September, the 2010 celebration of hunting, fishing and conservation took place on September 25 – with 120 registered events held in more than 40 states. The events provided an opportunity to share the NHF Day message, introduce new participants to outdoor recreational activities, and demonstrate the positive impact these activities have on conservation efforts.

CYPRESS, Calif. – January 13, 2011 – Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., is pleased to announced its 2011 ATV race team members including: Bill Ballance, Traci Cecco, Taylor Kiser and Walker Fowler in the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series; Thomas Brown in the ATVA/AMA National Motocross series; and Dustin Nelson in the revamped QuadX Series as well as the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS). The MX racers will compete on the high-performance YFZ450R while the cross-country teams will continue to race the trail-optimized YFZ450X.
