The Yamaha Raptor 250 is, hands down, one of the greatest ATVs available.  It’s light, it’s reliable, it handles great, and whether it’s a teenager honing their skills or a highly experienced rider just out having fun, everyone comes back with a smile after a ride on the Raptor 250.  For new sport riders, it’s perfect and the potential for this ATV is endless.  Walk into any Yamaha dealership, like John Burr Cycles in Fontana, California, and for a very reasonable price, you can pick one up and have a great time tonight, tomorrow, all weekend, and for years to come.

We wondered when Polaris would build this model.  After all, there has scarcely been a day in Polaris history when there has not been a Scrambler ATV in the lineup.  Through the years the Scrambler had become synonymous with a sporty ride wrapped in a 4-wheel drive, do-it-all package, yet the existing Scrambler models were based on previous generation chassis and engine packages.  While the Polaris utility ATV lineup had evolved with ever more powerful engines and advanced, better riding chassis’ the poor Scrambler 500 had seemingly fallen from favor.

What a rush!  Only inches from the edge of the trail and just off my shoulder, the desert scrub was flying by as it never had before.  An endless whoop section slid under the nose of my Arctic Cat Wildcat X and ran to the horizon, or at least to the base of the parched El Paso Mountains on the opposite side of the valley.  The Wildcat effortlessly skipped across the top of knee-deep whoops like a Leopard running down its prey on the Serengeti Plain, head down and charging forward.

A new set of gloves is always nice, but it’s not usually something we get overly excited about.  After all, if they fit well and keep our hands protected or warm, we’re usually “happy, happy, happy,” as the guy from Duck Dynasty would say.  Recently though, we tried a new set of gloves from Cabela’s that took hand comfort and convenience to a whole new level.
