Minneapolis, May 13, 2013- Polaris racers were out in full force this past weekend at WORCS Round Five, at Honolulu Hills, in Taft, Calif. Polaris Factory Racers and Holz Racers, RJ Anderson and Beau Baron would finish one, two in the “SxS Pro Production” class. RZRs would take the top five spots in the class as well. Anderson, after a tough start to the racing season, has gotten himself to the sixth position in points with Baron sitting in first. The “SxS Production 1000” class would be all RZR with Holz Racing’s Mitch Guthrie Jr. finishing first. RZRs would also finish in the top six places. Guthrie is leading the class in points with four first place finishes and one fourth. The “SxS Production 700” class has seen an influx of RZR 570s racing this year and the four entered would finish one through four out of seven starters. Polaris Racer Cody Rahders, would have a tough run but fight his way back with a crippled car to take a second place. Holz Racers Haagsma and Bunyea in their RZR 570s would finish first and third. Rahders is sitting third in points, behind Bunyea and Haagsma, after having to take a round off.

Minneapolis, May 6, 2013–After a win at the last Best in the Desert Race, The Mint 400, Holz Coastal Racing’s Scott Kiger and Mark Holz in their No. 1934 RZR XP 900 would line up for the Canidae Tap It Silver State 300 with hopes to make it two in a row and their second Silver State 300 win. When the dust settled, they would not disappoint. With Cognito Powersports and their RZR XP 4 900 getting the nod to start first, the teams would have to work hard through the typical high-speed, dusty conditions to overtake the leader. Coastal Racing would start right after Brandon Schueler’s Jagged X No. 1919 RZR XP 4 900 setting up a speed dual to take over the lead. With Kiger driving the morning half, he would pass Schueler and all but one of the remaining cars that started in front of him, Cognito. Holz would take over for the second half of the race and suffer a couple flats moving him back to third, and putting the No. 1919 in second behind Cognito. With Cognito sitting with a 7-minute lead and Jagged X and Coastal running neck-and-neck, Cognito would suffer a clutch failure ending their reign and setting up an exciting finish between Jagged X and Coastal Racing. In the last miles of the race, Holz in the Coastal car would make his move finish first with Schueler in the No. 1919 finishing second.

Minneapolis, April 23, 2013-RZRs filled the podium this past weekend at WORCS Round Four, at Sand Hollow OHV Park, in Hurricane, Utah, and at the GNCC Big Buck, in Union, SC. WORCS Round Four, a bit different than most WORCS races, would consist of two laps of winding, sandy trails, rock climbs, and dune areas without the typical motocross section found at WORCS races. The course would challenge the almost 70 side-by-sides lining up for the race with many cars having their race end early.

Before the Polaris RZR, there wasn’t any Side x Side dedicated to high-performance recreation, but with the sporty RZR 800, Polaris had an instant hit and the race was on.  Since then other manufacturers have entered the game and each new model has seen huge gains in power, suspension, and performance.  Not everyone needs or even wants huge horsepower and desert taming suspension just to cruise the local trails, though, and for those riders, Polaris has a unique option.
