Yamaha Congratulates Wienen and Brown on 1-2 Finish at Montreal Supermotocross

CYPRESS, Calif. – October 3, 2012 – Yamaha congratulates ATV racers Chad Wienen and Thomas Brown on taking the top two spots at the 2012 Montreal Supermotocross in Quebec this past weekend.  Wienen topped the podium and Brown finished second -- both aboard their YFZ450Rs -- in what became one of North America’s most competitive races this year in front of an estimate crowd of 40,000 fans.Four of the top five U.S. national ATV motocross racers competed along with top Canadians.  Wienen, who won his first Montreal Supermotocross back in 2009, capped a dream season after winning the AMA Pro ATV championship this year following a severe injury in 2011.

Aluma Announces Plan to Purchase Building for Expansion

BANCROFT, Iowa – Aluma is pleased to announce the purchase of a 105,000 square foot building for expansion. Aluma agreed to terms with Skyjack Manufacturing, Inc., to purchase their building in Emmetsburg, Iowa. The expansion is necessary to support the production requirements of Aluma’s growing network of aluminum trailer dealers. The facility will provide space for warehousing, production, research and development of the enclosed trailer line.

Polaris Breaks Ground on Major Facility Expansion

(NYSE:  PII) announced that the one millionth product, an orange Polaris RANGER 800 Midsize side-by-side vehicle, rolled off its Spirit Lake, Iowa assembly line yesterday. “One million units built marks an extraordinary milestone for our Spirit Lake operation,” said Bennett Morgan, Polaris President and COO.  “For nearly two decades Spirit Lake has been a manufacturing center of excellence and a vital contributor to our success.  Thanks to the adaptability of both our outstanding people and the facility itself, Spirit Lake has, in its 18 year history, produced each of our product lines (Snowmobiles, ATVs, Side-by-Sides and Motorcycles).”

RZRs Dominant in WORCS Racing for 2012

Minneapolis, September 18, 2012-With the WORCS Racing season coming to a close this past weekend in Taft, Calif., at Honolulu Hills, RZR XP 900s ended the season with the top three spots in the “Production 1000” class and a RZR 570 took the “Production 700 Class.”The “Production 1000” class saw Ryan Piplic take the checkered flag at Honolulu Hills sealing the championship in the class for 2012. RJ Anderson finished the series in second with Beau Baron in third.

CYPRESS, Calif. – September 13, 2012 – Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 scholarship program that provides financial assistance to members of the National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT).  ACT is a national college student association with more than 350 members located on 17 college and university campuses across the country.  ACT’s mission of fostering professional development is at the core of the Yamaha-ACT Scholarship Program, now in its fifth year.
