Polaris has enjoyed spectacular success with their off-road lineup. It seems every year new model announcements introduce a flood of new ATVs and Side x Sides and over time the total number of machines in the Polaris stable has grown to well over 100. For 2017, Polaris is concentrating less on all-new machines and more on quality and refinement, with a good dose of technology backing it up.

Polaris ACE™ has been redefining the off-road experience with a sit-in chassis that combines the nimble handling and center-seating position of an ATV with the security of a side-by-side. Built specifically for those who want the security and ease-of-use of a side-by-side but do not want or need a second seat, the lineup offers customers the freedom of controlling their own riding experience along with the ability to enjoy the biggest off-road adventures.    For Model Year 2017, the ACE family takes a big step forward as Polaris is delivering everything customers have asked for and more with comfort improvements across the entire line, a more powerful and affordable entry-level model, and the performance and ride quality of dual a-arms on a 48-in. (121.9-cm) chassis. And, for the customers who want big power and suspension, Polaris is introducing the all new, 78-horsepower, 59-in. (149.9-cm) wide, longtravel suspension Polaris ACE 900 XC.  A

The Polaris ACE marked a different direction in the development of Side x Sides. The ACE wasn’t exactly an ATV, although it did appear to be the offspring of a mating between the RZR 570 and a Sportsman ATV. It wasn’t exactly a Side x Side either; even though it has a steering wheel, roll cage, and a bucket seat. One thing we knew for sure is that we needed to spend more time on, or maybe we should say “in” it.

When Polaris introduced the ACE platform a year and a half ago, we knew it was only a matter of time before they would follow it up with additional single seat models. It wasn’t a long wait. Later in the year came the ACE 570, and most recently they’ve unleashed the new ACE 900 SP.

A WALK AROUND

Coastal Racing’s John Henry Takes First XC2 Win of the Season

Minneapolis, April 14, 2015- Round Four of the GNCC racing series would have the Polaris Factory Racing Teams travel to Union, SC for The Big Buck where there would be ATV, Side-by-Side and Single-Seat Racing. Coastal Racing’s XC2 Racer John Henry would come into Big Buck looking for redemption after a tough ride at the first round in Georgia. The finish in Georgia didn’t gave him a tenth-row starting position but he was able to grab the hole shot off the line for his row to give him clear sailing into the woods. The Big Buck course is very tight and fast with very few passing lanes so Henry would have to be very strategic throughout the race to gain ground. His RZR S 900 handled the rough track very well and, on adjusted time, took the win with teammate Sean Bogdan taking second in his RZR.
