The Brimstone White Knuckle event has become a kind of Woodstock for lovers of ATVs, UTVs, and pretty much anybody that loves outdoor activities and exploring trails.  No reference to Woodstock would be complete without music, though, and in Tennessee that means country.  What could fit in better with outdoor loving friends and families?  Not unlike the original Woodstock, each year the event features several concerts from both up and coming acts, and major country performers.  This year’s headline musical performer was Chris Cagle (No.1 song –“I Breathe In, I Breathe Out”) as well as the Jane Dear Girls, and Laura Bell Bundy.  Rather than being shuffled into a huge auditorium for the concerts, true to their country roots concert goers park themselves on a comfy hay bale for a great mountainside view of the stage and the show.  location.2012.brimstone-white-knuckle-event.custom-side-x-side.parked.jpg

During the day, it’s non-stop trail and track action, and there are numerous events planned for the weekend including a “Dueling Drag Race” at the Half Cabin event arena.  Kawasaki hosts the “Wild Mountain Rampage” on Saturday which is a completely unique event where participants explore the trails searching for geocache items.  The event tests your riding, map reading, and GPS skills, and the winner gets an enormous prize…  A NEW KAWASAKI TERYX4!  Tony Harness was the big winner this year, and we tried the Kawasaki Teryx4 at Brimstone; it’s the perfect place for it!  Yamaha supported the concerts and kicked in by giving away generators as prizes for events also.  They’re perfect for powering your campsite!  Yamaha also hosted a VIP dinner for the first 500 Yamaha riders to show up, much to the delight of hungry Grizzly, Big Bear, Raptor, YFZ and Rhino owners who made their appreciation shown.

Other highlights of the weekend include mud bogs, guided rides, an obstacle course challenge, the “Moonshine Run,” Ladies Dash for Cash, a new model demo area and even a kid’s zone. With 20,000 acres and over 300 miles of trails, we can guarantee you’ll never run out of new territory to explore.  Expect all types of terrain and trails at Brimstone.  Some trails are in tight woods, some are in the open, with mud, rocks, and great views along the way.  A few black snakes may even pop out from time to time to give you an extra thrill.  Thankfully, the trails are well marked for level of difficulty as well so you know what to expect.

Erika and her crew sure know how to throw a party!  The Brimstone White Knuckle event is a well-organized, family oriented event, and they’ve got everything covered for you from campsites, to cabins, to bags of ice.  Make your plans for next year, or attend this fall’s Side x Side roundup in September.  For those two weekends, it certainly will be the happiest place on dirt!
