GBC Racers Look to Hunt Down Wins at Big Buck GNCC

Anaheim, Calif. - April 14, 2016 - This weekend, April 16-17, the GNCC Series heads to Cross Anchor, SC for Round 4 of racing action. The team of GBC Motorsports racers, on the strength of many class wins two weeks ago in North Carolina, will look for more wins and podium finishes at Big Buck GNCC.

Jordan Phillips will start things off in the morning 4x4 Pro race. Hot off his first win of 2016, which bumped him up to 4th place in the Overall points for the season, Jordan has proven himself a winner several times through the last few seasons. Carrying the momentum from his Steele Creek win we expect he will be a force to be reckoned with.

In the 4x4 A/B class, Ronald Varndell has been the picture of consistency and dominance so far in 2016 with three consecutive wins. Close behind Varndell in the class points is fellow GBC athlete Spencer Modlin, who has been making a splash in his first season of 4x4 competition. We expect to see Modlin in the center of the box very soon.

In the afternoon XC1 Pro race it’s the newly added top gun Landon Wolfe who has been turning a lot of heads throughout the first three races. His steady improvement has him knocking on the door of the top five, and Big Buck could be the weekend for Wolfe to put in a career-best ride!

The XC2 Pro-Am class has been a wild one to watch so far this season. With one class win and consistent racing Marty Christofferson has positioned himself in second place in the points, within striking distance of the championship lead. Kevin Yoho put in a stellar ride in North Carolina to take the top XC2 spot, and despite only competing at a limited number of events this season will surely be a threat to win whenever he’s on the line.

Two more GBC Motorsports team riders who carry the class championship lead into Round 4 are Thomas Koontz in the Vet A class and Nick Mastrangelo in Junior A.
