The Arctic Cat product development team is on a roll! A few years back, they introduced the incredible Wildcat 1000 Side x Side, followed by a four-seat version, and last year they rolled out our favorite trail loving Side x Side, the Wildcat Trail. We wondered how they would top that for 2015, but as it turns out, they were just getting warmed up!

Get the best in under vehicle protection with Trail Armor's center skid and tank guard set for the Arctic Cat Prowler. Made from 1/2" high density polymer, these plastic skids absorb shock to the bottom of the vehicle with no dents or rust and are lighter than traditional metal skids. Strategically placed drain holes allow dirt and debris to wash out - you don't have to remove them to clean out the belly of your vehicle.Skids come in easy to install jointed sections that cover the full length and breadth of the vehicle, including the front and rear differential. Center skid sections replace the OEM center plastic piece on the Arctic Cat Prowler. Integrated tank guards offer excellent coverage for the unprotected side angles of the Prowler while safeguarding the fuel tank and the driver's side floor pan.Mounting hardware and instructions included.Fits the 06-08 650 H1, 2011 550 XT, 700 XTX, 700 HDX Arctic Cat Prowler.

Arctic Cat’s Prowler 700 HDX is Cat’s do-it-all machine for the hard working and hard playing crowd.  Like the Prowler 700 XTX, the heavy duty HDX comes with an extremely smooth running, 695cc, liquid cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine.  Electronic Fuel Injection insures excellent starts and crisp throttle response at any temperature or elevation and the engine is both quick and powerful.  It’s a blast to drive.  While the motor is nearly identical on both machines, the chassis, suspension, and bodywork are worlds apart.

Arctic Cat is known for building vehicles with incredible performance, but with their Prowler HDX 700, they showed their skill at designing for the hard working, utility crowd as well. The HDX 700 comes equipped with an extremely smooth running, 695cc, liquid cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine. Electronic Fuel Injection insures excellent starts and crisp throttle response at any temperature or elevation and the engine is both quick and powerful. Cat designed the HDX to appeal to sportsman and work crews.

When one of the design parameters is that the vehicle must be able to carry a round bale almost as big as the vehicle itself, you know it’s going to be one tough, hard working UTV. Arctic Cat’s new Prowler HDX 700 can carry the bale, 3 passengers, and with a dump box seemingly half as big as a football field, practically the whole barn! We spent several days and 400 miles picking our way through the rocks, canyons, and desert to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and back, and the HDX 700 was as reliable as a trusty dog or sure footed horse. Driving the HDX is much more comfortable, though.

Whenever we test any all-new ATV or UTV, whether from Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Honda, Polaris, or any of the OEMS, we usually don’t stray too far from the truck on our first day. After all, we don’t know exactly what to expect from the new model, and we might need to make adjustments or even repairs. Not this time however. Our initial ride on Arctic Cats new heavy duty 700 HDX, and 700 XTX wouldn’t be a casual ride through familiar woods, farm, or trail, but a go-for-broke, no turning back trek spread over 3 days and 400 miles of some of the most remote and toughest terrain in North America.
