If you’re going to play in the mud, you can plan on getting stuck at some point. Most of us learned this lesson as kids the first time we left our boots in a muddy field, and the same principal applies to our toys today. Unlike your stranded boots though, getting your ATV or Side x Side out of the muck is a whole lot more challenging.

The great thing about ATVs and Side x Sides is their versatility.  Whether you ride across endless miles of barren desert, snow, shifting sand, or slimy mud, your ATV is uniquely suited for whatever type of terrain you come across.  There are parts you can add, though, that definitely increase your ATV or Side x Side’s versatility, and bigger tires and wheels, accessory storage, and a winch are at the top of the list.

Anyone who has ever tried a Polaris Ranger 800 can tell you it’s a fantastic machine.  We’ve even named it Side x Side of the year in its class several times.  Accessories can make an already great vehicle even better, however, and to complement the working capabilities of our trusty Ranger 800, we decided it was time to add a front winch.  

We’ve all been there - knee or even seat deep in muck and mire while friends watch safely from the edge.  They’re too far away to be of much help, none too anxious to wade into the quagmire and save you from a problem of your own making, and truth be told, it’s always a little amusing to see somebody else stuck anyway.  You’re pretty much on your own.  At this point, you’ve only got two possible sources of help you can count on: divine intervention, and a WARN winch.  No doubt, past indiscretion has cost you mightily with the almighty, so you had better count on Warn.
