vendor.2012.extreme-metal-products.polaris-rzr.front-brush-guard.parked-on-hill.jpgWe ride many different types of trails, from open two-track, to dunes, to tight northern forest, and that means our machines must be prepared for anything.  Like most riders we like to keep our ATVs and Side x Sides looking as good as possible and a big part of that is proper protection.

Extreme Metal Products offers just about everything your machine could need for excellent protection, whether you’re looking for a quality set of skid plates, a half windshield, or a bumper.  They even build bumpers for Jeeps and motor homes!  We needed better protection for the front of our Polaris RZR4 XP 900, and EMP’s new Outback Edition Front Brush Guard was designed to provide exactly that.

Key Features Include

  • Laser Cut and CNC formed for a perfect fit
  • Powder Coated (Texture Black) for superior protection
  • Mounts behind the radiator for extra strength
  • Allows you to mount up to a 3500 lbs. winch up high for better leverage
  • Installs easily
  • No drilling, cutting, welding or extra brackets required
  • Side shrouds below lights must be removed or altered for attachment arms
  • Provides excellent protection to stock head lights
  • Made In Cleveland Ohio.

The Outback Edition Front Brush Guard is more than just a bolt on bumper.  Unlike most bumpers on the market, the Outback Front Brush Guard is designed to protect the head lights and to sweep brush or sticks out of the way before they can do any damage.  Most of the time branches are swept over the lights, past the hood, and then slide harmlessly off the roll cage structure.  vendor.2012.extreme-metal-products.polaris-rzr.front-brush-guard.mounting-bar.close-up.jpg

Installing the Outback Front Brush Guard is very easy, but it does require you either remove or slightly modify a section of the shroud below the stock head lights.  It comes with light guards for extra protection and style, heavy duty powder coated paint, complete hardware, and easy installation instructions.  The main secret to this very rugged bumper is the mounting position.  It mounts behind the radiator, solidly fixed to the frame for extra strength.  We simply opened the box, laid out all the hardware, and followed the clear instructions with no problems.  With the extra strength you now can mount up to a 3500 lb. winch as well.  All parts in the kit are well made with no burrs or sharp edges, and it definitely shows skilled manufacturing and quality fabrication.  Finishing the installation is a simple bolt-on procedure and you’ll be back riding in an hour.vendor.2012.extreme-metal-products.polaris-rzr.front-brush-guard.jpg

Besides the added protection, the EMP Outback Edition Front Brush Guard gives the front of our RZR4 a tough, desert racer look that we love.  It’s the protection that counts though and in this area the EMP bumper excels.  This bumper screams “heavy-duty” and gives you that added feeling of protecting your investment from whatever mother-nature puts in front of you.
