Polaris is the industry leader in youth off-road vehicles and leads the way in promoting youth rider safety.Polaris’ youth lineup will include four 2017 ATV youth models based upon the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America’s (SVIA) ATV categories. The lineup includes the Phoenix 200, Outlaw and Sportsman 110 EFI, and Outlaw 50. Polaris also will offer the RZR 170 EFI as a youth side-by-side model. Polaris youth models are the only youth vehicles to offer Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) for easier cold starting, reduced maintenance, and improved run and idle quality.
The RZR 170 EFI is available for riders 10 years old and older with adult supervision. The vehicle speed is limited to less than 15 mph (24.1 kph) as delivered. The vehicle’s speed control system allows adults to increase the speed to a maximum of up to 29 mph (47 kph). The RZR 170 EFI will be available in Bright White and Voodoo Blue. 
The Sportsman 110 EFI and Outlaw 110 EFI feature a 112cc engine. Both models are classified as Y-10+ for riders 10 years old and older with adult supervision. The vehicles’ speed is limited to less than 15 mph (24.1 kph) as delivered, and the speed control system allows adults to increase the speed to a maximum of 29 mph (47 kph). The Sportsman 110 EFI will be available in Velocity Blue, and the Outlaw 110 EFI is available in Pink Power and Lime Squeeze. All models include a color-matched helmet to teach youth the importance of wearing a helmet.
The Outlaw 50 ATV, classified as Y-6+ age, is available for riders 6 years old and older with adult supervision. The vehicle’s speed is limited to less than 10 mph (16.1 kph) as delivered, and the speed control system allows adults to increase the speed to a maximum of up to 15 mph (21.7 kph). The Outlaw 50 ATV will be available in Pink Power and Lime Squeeze, and also comes with a color-matched helmet.
Polaris’ entry-level Phoenix 200 ATV is available to the T age group, for riders 14 years old and older. The vehicle’s larger chassis can accommodate some of the riders in this age group better than the Outlaw and Sportsman 110, and the vehicle is speed limited to 20 mph (32.2 kph) as delivered, 30 mph (48.3 kph) intermediate, and 38 mph (61.2 kph) unrestricted. The 20-mph (32.2-kph) and 30-mph (48.3-kph) speeds are also throttle-limited. The model is available in Avalanche Grey for 2017. 
Polaris Youth Off-Road Vehicles (ORVs) will continue to include a wide variety of safety features such as a speed limiter, daytime running lights to increase daytime visibility, full floorboards and heat shields. Other vehicle features include an electric start, automatic transmission, 4-stroke engine and long-travel suspension. The RZR 170 EFI will continue to have seatbelts, red-colored brake pedal, parking brake, passenger grab bar and side nets.
All youth model ORVs purchased from an authorized dealer come with a high-visibility whip flag, speed limiter and safety video. Accompanied with these models is a DOT-approved helmet (two for RZR 170 EFI) to teach kids the importance of wearing the proper safety gear.
Polaris Youth model ORVs lead the way with safety features, making them one of the best-selling youth lines available. Adult supervision is required for all riders under 16. Polaris strongly encourages anyone operating an ORV to take available training.
