Polaris has enjoyed spectacular success with their off-road lineup. It seems every year new model announcements introduce a flood of new ATVs and Side x Sides and over time the total number of machines in the Polaris stable has grown to well over 100. For 2017, Polaris is concentrating less on all-new machines and more on quality and refinement, with a good dose of technology backing it up.
We love a good riding adventure, but when Larry Larrabure from MotoAdventures called and told us about big changes to his Costa Rican trail riding tour, it really got our attention. For over two decades, Larry has been guiding dirt bike riders through the hills and small towns of Costa Rica, and he’s built a legendary reputation for providing an excellent experience. If there was a chance to experience it first-hand, we would be all over it!
One feature shared by every type of off-road enthusiast, whether they ride a dirt bike, ATV, or even a jeep, is that when it comes time to haul it, you will need a good set of ramps. They’re a tool every bit as necessary as your tire gauge, spark plug wrench, and tie down straps.
Of all the manufacturers of ATVs and UTVs, only one is working with NASA in preparing one of their machines for operation on the moon. And it’s not the two manufacturers that have actual aerospace divisions. When NASA went looking for a company to partner with that had experience in producing vehicles capable of crossing any type of terrain, solid or liquid, there was really only one to turn to: ARGO!

It’s not always a bad thing to be off the beaten path. Nestled outside the quaint towns of Sophia and Beckley, WV and surrounded on all sides by the Smokey Mountains, Burning Rock ATV Resort could definitely be considered well off the beaten path. That’s just the way we like it!
Polaris had a problem. Despite offering by far the largest off-road lineup from any manufacturer, there was no Side x Side model between the sporty RZR models and the working class hero, the Ranger Side x Sides. What they needed was an answer to Can-Am’s Commander, Honda’s Pioneer 700, and Kawasaki’s Teryx.
Craig Weston Builds a Work of Art Can-Am Outlander

You can’t accuse Craig Weston of doing anything halfway. When the Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada man set out to customize his 2013 Can Am Outlander XMR 1000, he intended to create a machine that would turn heads. “I wanted to turn it into something people couldn’t imagine,” he says. “I wasn’t looking to take it up a small amount - I was looking to make it absolutely crazy.” Mission accomplished!
It’s not a matter of if you are going to get a flat tire during one of your trail rides. It’s really just a question of when and how often. When the inevitable happens, you’ll need a spare tire, a great tire repair kit, or superhero powers to get you back rolling. We’ve found a product that’s a little of both, and it’s even stronger than steel!
I was out of room. There are over 150,000 acres on the California & Arizona border in the giant sand playground known as Glamis and yet I was hurtling towards the line at where I would have to lift my foot off the throttle before completing my top speed run. A moment ago I had come charging down an enormous sand hill parallel to Interstate 8 and the Mexican border, shifting gears on Yamaha’s new YXZ 1000R as the engine screamed towards 10,000 rpms.
